Your first official stop at Allen County High. The staff of the school is happy to assist you in any way possible. Most of the time they are friendly, but if you get in trouble for some reason, they don't act so nice. I think it's best not to make eye contact while waiting on that oh-so-dreaded trip to the principal's office.

| Classrooms
All your marvelous [or not so marvelous] classes are located down two hallways. One on the top floor and one on the bottom. Empty classrooms are spread through-out the school and students are often seen in those rooms skipping class and just hanging around with friends. Make sure you don't get caught. Then again, we'll never tell.

Located just inside the front doors of the school, the student gathering area is a large open space where students can eat lunch, hang out during spares, etc. This area is also home to many of the school large parties, balls, dances and so on.

The gym is the place to be before school and after. Meet up with your friends before classes and talk about all the latest who's-dating-who gossip. Sports are often played here and a room to the left, next to the locker rooms, is where you will find the coach's office. Pep-rally's, games, and most things sport-related are often located here.

Hallways. The perfect place to meet up with old pals before your classes and inbetween. As your heading down a long hallway towards your next period class, maybe you'd like to stop and chat with your friends at their lockers. Or maybe your just skipping your next class and looking for an easy way to kill boredom. No matter what you do in the school, you won't get anywhere if it wasn't for hallways.

A room full of the latest computers. Internet access for all of them. Most of the time students are seen here after school and during lunch finishing up that report that is due the next day. Though most teens take advantage of the time to chat up with friends and slack off. Shhh. No telling though.

Eww. Are we supposed to eat that? In here the food is always edible...though you might want to check the nurse after you eat it. Nah, we're just playing, but the food here is sometimes things you wouldn't recognize. For instance, the Tuesday Surprise. The surprise part is they serve it again of Fridays.

Books of all kinds line the shelves in this large room located downstairs. The lighting is great since they always say that bad lighting can hurt your eyesight. Wouldn't want that to happen now would we? Make sure you don't destroy the books in any way. The librarian can get a little..cranky..when that happens.

Okay. So maybe the nurse's station isn't the best way to cure a deadly desease, but it's a great place to go for a simple cut or scratch. If your not dying, come here and the nurse will fix you right up. It's also a quick way to get out of a boring class, but you didn't hear that from us.

Your probably asking: "Who hangs out at a library in their free time?" Well, to tell you the truth, alot of people do. Though you won't often find some of Allen County High's more 'slackish' students here, the public library is a great place to get your school work done. There are several resources such as computers and books (obviously), and even for those that don't often visit, they rent out DVD's. With two stories filled with shelves of books, you bookworms out there are bound to find the book your looking for.

Before we go into detail, I warn you, its not cheap to record a song, so make it well worth it. AC is far from your local Hollywood, but you'd be surprised how much local talent there is out there. Looking to make the perfect birthday gift for a friend? Perhaps its mothers day and your trying really hard to get on her good side? Either way, the recording studio is the perfect place to come if you have something on your mind and you want to put it down in song.

Strike! Wait, or was that a spare? Welcome to Southern Lanes, the one and only...Standing bowling alley in Allen County. If you ask me, its the best place to bowl. Why would you want to go anywhere else. With fourty bowling lanes, ten pin or five pin, mini bar and billiards in a seperate area of the building, and concession stand for all your hunger needs, the lanes is definatly the best place to have a large gathering for some fun.

Welcome to every girls favorite place. The mall. As one of the largest places in Allen County, including the school, this place means only one thing. SHOPPING! With more shops and vendors than you can count, this is the only place in the whole town in which you can find everything you need. Clothes, appliances, you name it. Oh one other thing...Theres a food court, a giant one, so if you get tired of walking around looking at shoes with your girlfriend? Come get a bite to eat.

If theres one thing graduates look forward too when leaving high school and moving onto bigger and better things, its having their own dorm...Well, some get their own dorm, but not many. Located nearly off campus grounds, stand two large buildings, one for the guys, one for the girls, though counselors dont really listen to the suggestions of others when it comes to placing people in their specified dorms...Make sure to register or else you will be left in the dust looking for an apartment, besides, you'd rather keep the walking to a minimum right? Meaning you stay on campus.

For those of you that attended Allen County High school before attending the university, you've seen nothing compared to the WKU courtyard. If you thought the high school courtyard was big, try and take in the university's with just a scan of your eyes. Wide and open, as to supply room for those students wishing to take a walk around the grounds or even study outdoors, the courtyard offers more than just a great place to relax after hours.

Not all students at the university get in because of their brains...Don't worry, you may not be the only one. Some get in for their athletic abilities. Besides courses, WKU offers scholarships in football, soccer, and other sports of interest. Though not open to the public on an 'everyday' basis, the residents of Allen County can take a seat on the bleechers and watch football practices, as well as their games.

At Western Kentucky University, we offer a wide range of courses. As long as you apply within, your grades are up to our expectations, and your willing to pay quite a pricy fee to get in, this is where your courses will be held.

| Student Lounge
Remember in high school how you always used to complain about how the students never had a lounge but the teachers did? Well at Western Kentucky University, your in luck. Not only do the professors have a lounge but so do that attendees. A large room located in the central area of the school, next to the library is the student lounge. Used for studying, taking a break from the books, or even just reading a book for that matter, take a seat at one of the many tables, or on one of the many long couches and rest that hard working brain of yours.

With an attachment to the student lounge, the universities library is located perfectly for those students wishing to keep the walking to a minimum. Again, unlike the high school, WKU has a wide range of books, course teachings, etc for students to use as resources for their work. Though most you can take out with just a flash of your ID, others you may need to rent for a fee, so have your cash on hand!

After a hard days work, its no wonder the food court is still open. Though not open 24 hours 7 days a week, there are various vending machines located around the area to fill all your cravings. Serving all the proper, healthy, though sometimes disguisting choices in meals, students come here for breakfast, and lunch, and perhaps even some in-between-class snacks.

Why you treat yourself to something nice, thats what. Located on grounds, in the far corner is a gift shop of sorts, selling all your WKU merchandise, sports outfits, etc.

So we've got the track and fields, what more could you ask for? Well a sports complex tops the list if you ask me. While all outdoor sports are located, outdoors, the sports complex is home to those you can't take part in when its snowing and such. Here is a swimming pool for those fish out of water, squash/tennis courts, as well as anything else you could possibly think of.
